I found an interesting article for those that are considering coming down to South America to teach English; at least in Argentina.  With the economic downturn and inflation Argentina isn't the USD playground it used to be, and most people haven't realized that.  Here's hoping people can learn from this article and come into teaching English with a better grasp of the realities! 

Cordoba is known for its many universities and scientific institutes, and therefore has one of the best educated populations in Argentina.  It has even garnered the nickname of "La Docta."  If you're considering studying abroad in Argentina, Cordoba offers myriad opportunities in many fields, where excellent schools abound.

Sarmiento Park is located atop the city of Cordoba, offering great views and outdoor activities for those that want to get away from the city life for a day.  There are plenty of ways to get into the park, either Poeta Lugones Avenue or through the main entrance near Plaza Espana.

Cause how else are you going to get around during Oktoberfest!

Oktoberfest is invading Cordoba this weekend. A direct quote from my friend German was, "After three in the morning, you just get punched in the face."

He was speaking literally. Go Oktoberfest!

In all seriousness, it will be fun. Be safe!

Some people might think this looks destroyed while others (myself included) thinks this is just the perfect example of the quaint beauty of Cordoba.

Get ready to rock socks however, this quaint little town is about to be over-run by crowds pouring in for its famous oktober fest - beginning this weekend and running through the end of next week.

Because do you NEED a better entrance than THAT!
